Margaret M. Fenerty, Esquire

Ms. Fenerty was born in Philadelphia and went to Saint Hubert’s High School. Ms. Fenerty earned a degree in English literature from the Pennsylvania State University. Ms. Fenerty then served in the United States Army Signal Corps where she attained the rank of First Lieutenant. After the Army, Ms. Fenerty earned a Masters of Education from Temple University.

Ms. Fenerty graduated from George Mason University School of Law and has been in practice since 1983. From 1987 until 2012 she worked for the City of Philadelphia Law Department, after which she joined the Fenerty Law Firm. While at the City Law Department, Ms. Fenerty gained a wealth of experience in defending the City and its employees in claims for violations of federal civil rights laws, as well as claims under state laws for personal injuries and property damage. Ms. Fenerty has extensive trial experience in both state and federal court.

In addition, Ms. Fenerty has used Alternative Dispute Resolution to resolve disputes to her client’s advantage. Since joining the Fenerty Law Firm, Ms. Fenerty has successfully represented plaintiffs in federal civil rights claims, medical malpractice, premises liability, and motor vehicle collisions. Ms. Fenerty brings to our plaintiff’s personal injury practice a unique perspective based on her extensive civil litigation experience and her distinguished service in City government.
